The next step in protecting our school boards and library boards is to run for one of these important positions. You’ll learn the nuances of running for these positions–how they’re the same and how they’re different than running for, say, town board–at our February 4th Campaign Training. Sign up here.
What we saw in May 2022 underscores the need for progressive people to run for these positions. Once we found out who was running–a host of “parents rights” candidates–you know the folks that want to ban books, dismantle gay-straight alliances and attack the teaching of our country’s checkered past– CapitalWomen took swift action and let the community know who NOT TO VOTE FOR in local school board elections. Thanks to everyone who paid attention and got out to vote. We need to do it again this year!
