First Campaign Worker Training A Success

Over 50 folks came to Skidmore College on Saturday, February 16th for a field/targeting/petitioning training. Special thanks to Joanne Yepsen for organizing the event for CapitalWomen. Skidmore political science professor, Bob Turner, did an overview of who votes in local elections. CW co-founder and political consultant Libby Post talked about the organization and then delved into petitioning–which starts on Tuesday, February 26th. Steve Napier, a field and targeting expert and candidate for Cohoes’ mayor, detailed how to choose your voters and reach them. On Saturday, February 23rd, similar trainings will take place in Albany and Schenectady counties.
